Sweet Dosa

A dosa to satiate your sweet tooth. A not so everyday recipe...


1 cup jaggery.
2 cups water,
1 cup whole wheat flour,
¼ cup refined flour,
¼ cup rice flour,
3 tsps semolina,
¼ cup coconut coarsely grated,
½ tsp powdered green cardamom seeds,
Some ghee for frying


Mix the jaggery and water and boil till completely melted. Cool and strain. Add all the ingredients except the ghee and mix well to form a thick uniform batter. Let it stand for 15 minutes.

Heat a non-stick pan and spread a ladle full of batter to form a circular disk. Drizzle a few drops of ghee and cook for 2 minutes. Flip it over and cook for another 2 minutes on the other side. It tastes best when served piping hot.
