Crispy Cheesy Slabs
A different version of normal bread pakoda.
This recipe uses refined flour instead of gram flour and it is flavoured with
cheese.
Ingredients
5-6 slices day-old bread,
1 cup refined flour,
¾ cup grated cheese,
½ tsp crushed black pepper,
½ tsp oregano/thyme,
Salt to taste,
Oil for deep frying
Method
Cut bread into three pieces.
Mix all the other ingredients except oil
and bread with water to make a thick paste.
Heat the oil. Once the oil is hot dip a
piece of the bread in the batter and put it into the hot oil. Fry till it is
golden brown on one side and then flip it over and fry till the other side is
also golden brown. Make this in batches.
Drain on an absorbent paper and serve with
tomato sauce.
