Honey, Cornflakes and Oats Cookies
Well I have been thinking of trying my hand
at cookie making for quite sometime now. I have baked many cakes but never
tried cookies, so thought I would try a recipe I had noted from the Good Food
magazine making some alterations like switching maple syrup with honey.
They turned out to be quite nice and chewy.
Ingredients
Makes
18 cookies
125 grams margarine,
100 grams condensed milk,
100 ml honey,
85 grams corn flakes,
85 grams porridge oats,
125 grams flour,
50 grams vanilla flavoured custard powder,
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
Method
Mix the margarine, condensed milk and honey
in a pan. Heat gently.
In another mixing bowl crush the cornflakes
and mix in the oats, flour, custard powder and bicarbonate. Mix this all well
together.
Once the margarine-condensed milk-honey
mixture is well combined, stir in the dry ingredients.
Preheat the oven to 180oC for 10
minutes.
Lightly grease your baking tray and roughly
scoop heaped tablespoon full of the mixture onto the baking sheets.
Bake this in the preheated oven for 15-20
minutes. Cool before serving.
Look so yummy and very easy to make. Thanks for the share.
